Management Promotions Announced at Smith-Winchester

SOUTHFIELD, MI
Smith-Winchester, Inc, a Southfield, Michigan-based marketing communications/PR firm, today announced three internal management promotions. Jay Kargula has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He formerly served as Executive Vice President, Creative Services, and will retain his creative direction duties in his new post.

Frank Morisette moves to Chief Operating Officer (COO) from President, Operations. Michael Ladd has been named President. He was formerly Executive Vice President, Client Services. Ladd will oversee internal quality control and related processes, while retaining his client services management responsibilities.

The changes were made in anticipation of the retirement of Charles Weaver, former Chairman and CEO. His leadership of Smith-Winchester caps a 35-year career in marketing communications services. Weaver shifts to a “Chairman Emeritus” consultation role focused on strategic planning for selected accounts.

“Our 2006 fiscal year performance was one of our best,” said CEO Kargula. “Of course, our success is directly related to that of our clients. Moving forward, we’ll continue to focus on creating and delivering their marketing messages in new and engaging ways.”
